Can someone please help me identify these flowers or maybe more appropriately, the tree that they grow on? They're budding flowers on a tree found in a residential neighborhood in Toronto. They're tiny, approx. 1" (2.25 cm) in diametre and the entire tree seemed to be made up of these flowers and red leaves. If anyone can help, that'd be great! Thanks.

It's a purple sandcherry actually. Have one in my backyard.

I will arise and go now, and go to Innisfree,
And a small cabin build there, of clay and wattles made:
Nine bean-rows will I have there, a hive for the honey-bee,
And live alone in the bee-loud glade. -Yeats
