Good to know. Let us know what the results are after some use. The hard part is that the problem isnt easy to replicate. It just happens.

Howdy,

Got my 350D back today. According to the repair docs, they replaced the Main PCB Assembly and "checked all good working order" as well as "performed AF, AE adjustment". Various settings I'd had in place were back to defaults as well, so I don't think they're just blowing smoke up my butt.

No clue yet if this will fix the issue or not, but I find it encouraging that they actually changed out the main pcb.

When you say you got your 350D back, does this mean you got your grip back from them aswell?

Seems quite drastic that they have replaced your main pcb assembly just for a lock up problem on the 350D with a battery grip. When i would of guess it would be the grip which is causing the problem, since i don't think your 350D had ever expreinced the same problem without the grip. Well lets hope it does the trick.
