Not sure what type of tree this is but I thought the falling seeds (balls) were kinda neat.

ReedGoodwin Goldmember 1,148 posts Joined Apr 2006 More info | If you get a ball and crush it under your shoe, does the "skin" break up with each clump of "skin" with a bit of fluff on the inside fo the ball? I think I've seen those around, though I don't know what kind of tree it is. It isn't going to be a walnut as those nuts will be green this time of year, I think. However, do Maples produce such seed pods? The leaves (it now has leaves) look similar to a Maple. I'll see if I can get shot of the leaves this weekend. Kerrie "PhotographyNewb"

Where I live they have been planted to line the bike/walking path and are everywhere around the golf course, and yes those balls have the fuzzy stuff. Though, thats not what they are looing like right now (here they have nice green leves right now) is it an old photo? Canon Digital Rebel 300D (unDutchables 0.2.3)
