I dont know where this belongs so Mods, feel free to move it to its rightly spot.
That said, I am going to have my first "unofficial" shoot some time soon... In a dim Recording studio of all places...lol A friend of mine owns a studio here in Wallingford

www.trod-nossel.com (external link) if you want an idea of the shooting parameters, take a look... anyhow, using the 30D, what do you recomend as pertaining to settings for ISO, Metering mode..etc. im thinking, the highest ISO i can get away with and "Evaluative" metering? whats the consensus on this? I dont have any lighting to bring and I do have my 420EX and Omni Bounce.. I figure i will use the 28-135 IS, the 50 f1.8 and the 10-20 Siggie Wide. I dont believe the 70-200F4 L will work in there as 70MM might be a bit "long" for inside the rooms. Let me know how you "seasoned" pros would do this one.
Thanks,

Your link is only a website?

Since you are not limited I try a bunch of ISO's, shutter speeds, and glass. If it were me I'd shoot in AV mode with the fastest lens I have, keep your shutter speed above your lens size. The 100mm may be a bit much for a small studio. Bump your ISO to 3200 and try that as well. Most of us who shoot performers don't like flash.

If you can use a tripod as it will help against camera shake.

The other thing you can do is practice at home with no flash. I did this when I first got started. I would also learn to shoot RAW and learn how to use Custom White Balance.

I hope that helps.

Thanks Taygull, the link is just to main page if you scroll down to the bottom, you click the link that says photos.. lol Sorry about that. They told me they have one of those big work lights (like for a garage) I can use... if i do a custom WB it should be ok.. the main studio is a huge, huge room with very high ceilings so bouncing a flash would do nothing for me there, and the smaller studios and production suites are all wood panel and black sound proof tiles.. The place is really darkend and with very dimmed lighting this should be quite the experience.. i'd a turned it down but these are very good friends of mine..
