Caught this wee guy in the act stealing the nuts I put out for the birds. He was very wary of me getting close so had to shoot from the far side of the garden, this shot is a 100% crop. C&C welcome.
Thanks for looking Ricky

Superdiver
This was taken with the 70-200 F4L
I grabbed the camera from the bag when I spotted the squirrel but cocked up and had the camera set to TV I think the shutter speed was only 100thsec F9 ISO 100. By the time I had changed the camera to AV and ISO 400 the wee guy had dissapeared. As this was hand held and at 200mm I did not expect it to be as sharp. I had to apply unsharp mask to the shot, that said I was happy with the shot ;)
Thanks for your kind words Ricky

These guys are brilliant when it comes to retrieving their favourite foods from feeders. I think they enjoy the challenge as much as the treasure;) Nice capture.

"Cute shot!! SOOO Busted! LOL" Thanks Beachgirl

"These guys are brilliant when it comes to retrieving their favourite foods from feeders. I think they enjoy the challenge as much as the treasure:wink: Nice capture." Gary you are so right, every other day I have to put the bird feeder back up the tree, choosing a larger stronger branch every time to make it harder for the squirrel to remove it. He never seems to fail to rise to the challenge:lol: Thanks for the comments:lol:
Cheers Ricky

This is a great shot. As frustrating as their feeder raids can be, they are so cute it is hard to stay mad at them.

After they broke one of my feeders beyond repair, I added a couple of squirrel baffles and set up a feeder just for them in a different part of my yard. It is a simple metal corn cob hanger, and it works very well. They get to do all sorts of acrobatics to get to the corn, and they don't even come near the bird feeders anymore.

Caught red handed. The only way to catch a squirrel. Nice shot and crisp even though it was handheld.

these guys are relentless. I have a series of a squirrel geting at mey "squirrel proof" bird feeder on my site. My kids have named him Mr. Dangerous cuz of his relentlessness. Check out the series if you like...

I love the pictures that the f4L series lenses take, at least the ones I have seen...great stuff!

What a great photo! These little buggers drive me crazy around my way. No matter what type of "squirrel-proof" feeder we get, they find a way in.
