Every now and then, I take an accidental photo that I end up liking a lot. I had gone to get some shots of Wrigley Field for a friend. The shots of Wrigley Field didn't work out the way I wanted since it was off-season and they were working on the outfield bleachers. Anyway, as I was coming out of the Red Line stop I just happend to point my camera upwards and let the shutter go a few times. It's a shot of Loyola University and the Park Hyatt.

I took around 200 photos that day and this was about the only one that I liked.

Comments and/or suggestions are always welcome.

I like this, the large empty space balances nicely with the bulk of the buildings and the light makes a nice counterpoint. I think it would be nicer a little more crisp, but it still works for me anyway.

Nice shot, it looks like something out of a gansta film - straight from Chicago :)

Roger.

I was initially concerned with the motion blur, too, but the more I looked at it, the more I started thinking that it gave the image a bit more mood since it was a gloomy winter afternoon.

Thanks for the comments.

Great perspective. Has an awesome, foreboding feel.

Nice concept, I feel though that the pic would benefit more if you underexpose it a bit, say 2/3 of a stop.
