Been a bit busy recently, so didn't get chance to upload any of these.
I went with the family to Silverstone for the Supercar GT.

Unfortunately the weather was v wet and due to having to stay under cover, had to be a little selective about shooting positions.
However with the 1.4x on the Sigma 120-300 I managed to grab a few shots:

I do admit to have needed to do some cropping and a little PP to get these images. most were shot from the grandstand at the beginning of the start finish.

#1: the Ferrari 430 challenge was very entertaining

#3: - Masserati's giving it plenty in the wet. After her performance on Top Gears Celebrety in a reasonably priced car, Jodi Kidd has been invited to race in this series. However the weather conditions were to bad for her to come out.

#4: God only knows how they could see where they were going !!!

#5: The open pitlanes were fantastic, all these cars were racing and being worked on as you walked through !

I dont believe you really posted the pink masser:lol: they sounded nice though , shame about the rain but it does make for some dramatic shots at times.

Wow...those are great. Seeing all these race car pics makes me wish the nearest track wasn't over 2 hours away!! I need lots of practice to even approach the levels seen in this forum.

to be honest I thought that it might have been Jodies car, and was waiting for something to happen.
But it wasn't :(

i might have dreamt this, but i think the pink car was Jodie's car and she crashed it causing them to redflag what was an incredibly boring race

Why do you think racing drivers need to see where they are going? It doesn't seem to make much difference usually!

Someone should tell the owner of the #6 Ferrari that the Union flag on his wing mirror is upside down. Not cool at all!

Very nice shots!

What did you use to keep the camera dry in the rain? Bag & rubber bands or something more advanced?
