My First Pictures Posted

I have been a member for a while and have been amazed at the quality of the pictures I have seen on this site. I was recently down in Costa Rica and think maybe I have one or two that would do the site justice. So here they are. These were both shot with a 5D with the 70-200 2.8 ISL. Be kind.

they look good ...monkey looks a bit fuzzy but it could be in the compression to put it here . I like them

LOVE LOVE LOVE the first one! The fact that most of the picture is out of focus and the frog is so crisp just make that picture.

Brad, that's one great camera you have.
Capturing that little colourful frog through the tiny gap with good sharp focus bringing out the detail in the eye is brilliant.

Love the frog!!! Do you have more shots of it??? I think that the red flower out of focus could play a very nice role along with the red eyes of the frog!!

That first shot is superb. You have an excellent eye to see the opportunity for such an original composition. And certainly no lack of skill for capturing it wonderfully. I look forward to seeing more of your shots.

Thank you for all your kind comments. The monkey photo was shot with a 2x extender on my 70-200 2.8ISL at quite a distance which may account for the slightly fuzzy look. Unfortunately, the frog disappeared right after my shot. I was hoping that it would move forward so I could get both eyes. The 5D does a great job. Here are two more from the same trip.

Nice I really like the 2nd lizard shot, the first one might need to have some of the left side taken out to make you focus more on the lizard, I could be wrong though I'm still new. Either way, very nice shots.
