I got this little guy while he was doing his morning push-ups , they are a joy to watch, very peacefull characters, they are considered to be the most peacefull of the primates.

The Squirrel Monkey has a short brightly colored fur. It is thick and soft in texture.
The species has little to no hair on the area around the lips and nostrils.
The skin in these areas is black.
Though there is a slight color variation within the species, the most common color pattern is that with white around ears, eyes, throat, and some areas on the neck.
The head is usually dark in color, while the back forearms, feet, and hands are of yellow to orange, the tail tip is black.

Male Squirrel Monkeys are usually larger than females.
An adult Squirrel Monkey weighs about 500-1000 grams.
Squirrel Monkeys inhabit virgin and secondary forests of South America.
They also give preference to cultivated regions and often live near water.
They are commonly seen in such countries as Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Venezuela, and others. Small populations have been observed in Southern Florida.

Hey Dimitri, looks like he's getting quite a work out. I've seen these guys in the wild, they are non-stop action. I bet it was tough to get this to sit still to get this very good, sharp pic.

No not really Paul,he was not very active, maybe it was too early for him or he was too lazy to do anything else.
It was though very funny to see him doing exercises, great lough.

Well if I only grew to a measly weight of 500-1000 grams I'm pretty sure I wouldn't be running around picking too many fights either. :)
