Need high sync flash help. How do I utilize a 1000 shutter speed on my 20D AND a 430 hotshoe flah for fill in?????? thanks

Now I might be wrong but in playing around with my newly acquired 430 and my XT, you hold down the button for high speed sync on the flash. It then allows shutter speeds greater than 1/200 or 1/250 depending on how your 20D is set. Check out the link for the EOS Bible at the top if you don't get any other responses.

Thanks, Curtis! I printed the "bible" out whilst in San Diego and spent the entire flight abck to Raleigh, NC reading and digesting it. You've done an excellent job of summarizing a complex and detailed document.

Simple, straight forward explanations. This is a big help. And your photo of flash fall off is about the simplest demonstration I can think of. Thanks for the effort. I'll look forward to chapter 2 while I read chapter 3.

Agreed, does this make Curtis a modern-day Saint Paul of sorts?
