I tried again at the Iris today. I think I'm doing a little better.

What do you think?

I love the Iris, ours are not out up here yet.

This is a good capture, it looks a little subdued on my monitor and I would prefer a little more dof as the petal closest to us is not in focus.

This is a difficult one to caputure, the white petals and the purple ones make it difficult to get both in a balanced exposure.

Perhaps a try at a bracket shot on the exposure and then layer them to get a little more detail on the white?

All in all I do like this.

Please show more.

Thats a much better one with darkened bg and more details in the whites.
Hard to capture flower indeed as the white and purple of the flower do not hold expossure similarities, well done.

...I think they are very good shots.
The colours are gorgeous.

The second shot really works well for me. The one flower in focus and the repetition of the flowers throughout the background.

Thanks everyone for your comments. I appreciate them.

Dimitri, thanks for all of your help. I appreciate the edit on the previous post!

I think I might try what Marie has been doing recently with turning them into a painting on #2. I've just got to figure out how she does it!

Thanks again everyone.
