Action from this week's non-points million dollar All-Star event at Lowe's Motor Speedway in Concord, NC. To say that the lighting was horrible would be an understatement. As always, C&C welcome.

All 6 images were just resized and had minor USM applied. No noise reduction in play.

Nice shots from the stands, it's hard to shoot from those.

Thanks for looking!

I normally shoot from the infield at Lowe's, this was somewhat of a new experience there. The track looks so bright to the naked eye, but the meter tells a whole different story. About like shooting by moonlight.

Great shots. Shooting race cars at night, even on a "well-lit" racetrack, is a difficult task!!! (And worse yet, from the grandstands!) It's particularly tough for me since I usually go to the local short tracks around here on Saturday nights where the lighting is questionable at best. This weekend was the first opportunity I had to shoot night racing with my new Powershot S2 IS, but I was surprised at how well the pictures came out despite being limited to ISO 400 that's filled with a fair bit of noise. I'm going to try to post some in a little while.
