Dress & Ring shot...

Just a shot of my dress (before it finally gets boxed and forgotten about!) and our rings

Any comments, suggestions, improvement ideas, welcome! No pp just some slight cropping

Both good concepts, but could be executed better.

First up, get the rings professionally cleaned - it will dramatically increase the effectiveness of the shot. Get them cleaned and re-shoot straight away, it'll look great.

The dress one doesn't quite grab me. Perhaps less DOF, so the reflected dress is more distinguishable and frame it to be more of a feature in the shot. There is too much bland wall hogging the spotlight.

There's my couple of cents!

I agree with everything Mizuno said. #1 is quite underexposed. I like #2 but make the dress a lot bigger in the frame. I like them apart from those little details

I think the first could do with something like some flowers in the background? And the 2nd needs to be a bit sharper but other than that the ideas are really well thought out

Thank you all for your comments, see what you mean about the dress one, quite difficult to get the dress more in frame due to clutter etc that is out of shot or maybe I need a higher chair!

Embarrased about the rings needing cleaning - will clean and reshoot!
