Ok be completely honest!! I loved it when I first looked at it, now I'm unsure as to what to think... *sigh*

I'm not even sure any longer what I was going for here exactly.

HELP!! I was shooting for a competition, so any input would be appreciated.

Many thanks in advance :)

i wished the DOF was a wee bit wider such that the red shell in the middle was in focus as well. but overall i think this is a great shot. the composition works and the colours are lovely!! :D

did you do any post processing to it?

far too busy Donna, lots of things and i don`t know what i`m looking at.
A nice smooth bed of sand with one or two shells on it would be far better if you ask me.

I took a few shots kind of like this one, so I'll have a look and see what else I've got :)
Yes, I did some post processing - I auto'd the levels and contrast then I used the sponge tool to bring out some of the colours.

Thank you for looking :)

That is the same conclusion I came to last night Dimitri after staring at it for what seemed like hours!!
I'll go back to my disc and see what else I've got :)

Thank you :)

Greetings, Great colors and textures to be found here for sure. I would suggest photographing this subject with the camera looking straight down on it from above so that all of the detail can be in focus. KC

A myriad of colours, would love to see them burnt & stronger, more (un-naturally) vivid. Nice shot though still :)

Just returned after many years hiatus from this forum. I was a bit of a prat before, if I ever offended you, I'm sorry

I've got all the equipment I need, now I just need inspiration :D
