I find it hard to photograph flowers such as these, impatiens, pansies and the more "common" flowers of the northern mid atlantic. This one came out nice.'

A good recommendation for the 100mm Macro. Someone mentioned to me not long ago that it was the best for macro work.

Tony, I'm having tons of fun with the 100 macro. I guess the main rival would be the sigma 150 macro but I dont need the extra focal length. I don't do many insects. I'll leave that up to the guys in the macro forum :-) But my flower photography is not limited to my macro. I take nice flower pics with my 50 f/1.4 too.
