All Asians, regardless of origin, have the same kind of wedding, just as all Whites, regardless of origin, have the same kind of wedding, etc. etc. I shoot White weddings all the same, I shoot Asian weddings all the same...with a camera!

Call the wedding an 'Indian' wedding'. Call the wedding a 'Scandanavian wedding'. Call the wedding a '****o wedding'. But please, let's not use these broad and meaningless categories like 'Asian wedding'! You might as well call it an 'Earth wedding' for all the specificity of the term!

Actually it looks like it is a Pakistani wedding rather than an Indian wedding. Subtle difference in dress, customs, adornments on the bride and groom etc. So what nationality is it Greg? :)

As for the photos the colours came out great. Definitely think number 2 is an awesome capture and the stand out pic for me. Like someone else said the "stolen moment". As for 4 I can see the family wanting to see that. :)

Stateside i guess you refer to all people from India/ Pakistan and nearing countries as Indians, and all people from China etc, as Asians..

Whereas here in the UK we refer to people from Indo/ Pak as asian..

Just another of those weird things in the way we differ in communication.

My Canon can.. I just need to find out how

I *am* Asian. I just do not want to be put into a broad generalization. Each of us is proud of our national heritage and do not want to be lumped into a generalization. That is the point.

Wow all getting a bit hot under the collar. As Nation mentioned earlier, in the UK most people for the Pakistan/ India / region refer to themselfs as 'Asian'. Certainly, it may be diferent in the States but if you look for specialist wedding photographers in this area 99% of them would advertise as 'Asian' Wedding specialists.

As for this wedding it was a real mix of Indian and Pakistan, for all involved.

Another thing, the colour at this wedding certainly broke the monotony of photographing kilts in Scotland and Moning suits in England. I got totally lost and confused as all the female main players in the wedding continually changed outfits and colours. One women changed about 5 times during the day.

I think you need to look back at your generalisations ;). Would you have created the same fuss if it was a Thai wedding?

i have an indian wedding in august and i cant wait she will be in gold and white! So these shots are quite inspiring to see the traditionalism and colours!! That B&W and Sepia of her portrait work beautifully....and even tho she has so many colours
