Noise levels might be an issue for some, but a noisy image is better than no image at all when push comes to shove. People that know me call me Dan

May 24, 2006 01:25 | #4 Superdiver, I got that part figured out, I just couldn't understand why 3200 wouldn't be on the standard selection list without modifying custom functions, as if there was some reason someone wouldn't want it on the list to begin with...?

If you want them smooth, get neat image or noise ninja. "You are going to fall off a cliff trying to get a better shot someday"- My hopeful and loving wife

Of course you have to run some noise reduction. I agree with the others who say that 3200 should be available by default. There is no need to turn it off, just don't use it if you don't want to.

I was the photographer at an IKF kickboxing event and captured fight photos in a dimly lit room with only 4 spot lights on the ring. ISO 3200, f3.5, 1/125 to capture some movement but not be blurry. Flash is not allowed during any fight (kickboxing or boxing). The images were then corrected in noise ninja and most of the fighters purchased prints because no one is allowed cameras in any fight except for the event photog. I wouldnt recommend doing larger than 8x10 or myabe 11x14 uncropped with ISO 3200 though. http://www.flickr.com/photos/photographypas/
