Would anyone care to take a look at this album and tell me if you think it's good enough to show customers? This will be printed 7.5x6" and professionally bound. It's a 2nd sample album to show a little variety, and to show the album option of a different manufactuer.

its great! the only thing im not sure about is page 13... that washed out sunset background doesnt really seem in keeping with all the others. also not sure about the rotation on the inset pic on page 9. perhaps a bit too much?

Wonderful! The only thing I might change (just my personal oppinion) is switching out the last two pages to have the building as the last picture. Other than that I totally love it!

All good points there from you Del and Stupot. I'm struggling to find good backgrounds for this couple, so I put in a photo I took of the sunset this evening! I might try something else. The rotation on pg9 isn't ideal, but that's how I took it, i'll try straightening it in photoshop but I suspect it'll be too hard to do well. Del, the pages are in the current order because I like that house pic as a double page spread, which is possible to do on the last page but not something i'd like to do really. I think it's ok this way, nice to end with a pic of them :)

looks great Tim except for the last page. I agree you should end with a picture of them, but as with most things you want to have the strongest photos in the beginning and at the end, since that's what people will remember the most. I just dont think the image on page 13 is one of your strongest, especially compared to the rest of the (wonderful) photos in the album.

my $.02. overall the album looks great!

I thought the building as the last pictures was nice because its a very powerful image. But I agree that it makes sense to have the couple as the last picture. Like others said, just find a better image and maybe change the background to it. :)

Thanks for the advice! I do like the stairway picture, though maybe not as the last picture. Do any of these pics grab you as good enough? I'm not sure I have a more powerful last image than the house, so it may have to go on the last page.

the first and last are quite good, the first being the most obvious choice. The second one just doesn't seem right to me because althought the focus is on their hands, you focus on their faces first which are out of the dof...

Although I really like the photos of the surfer dudes, I'm not sure if they belong in an album that you are going to use for marketing your services. When I looked at them I was wondering what they were doing, and then the story just kind of ended. I do like the idea of an "introductory" page. Maybe some photos of the couple at the beach the day before to set the tone? Or a secondary album to show how you can personalize their final product ("I could do something like this for you if you would like") I don't think that the left photo on page 9 is the most flattering. There seems to be a bit of, oh how do I say this in an unoffensive way, "extra skin" just above her dress that really caught my eye. You don't want your clients thinking, "am I going to look like that?" And I find the frame on the other side of page 9 distracting. I really like some of the angles and the B&Ws. Very nicely done! I really like the idea of the house as the back page. I think it gives a feeling that a wonderful day is over and everything went well, just the frame of mind you want your client to be in when they are deciding about who will capture their memories for them! Remember that in marketing your album is going to be something to "get your foot in the door" and open discussions on what you can do to meet your clients needs. Let us know how it works out for you! And finally, ALWAYS ASK FOR THE SALE!

The very last one I think would work well. A close hug like that.. a pretty and romantic way to end the album.. symbolic for the "eternal love" maybe?

Thanks for all the opinions :) Does it bother anyone else that the album would be chronological up until the last page, then the last photo was obviously taken during the day?

I like to end albums with an image that signifies leaving, or saying goodby, or walking off into the sunset.

With that in mind, I like the image of them holding hands and walking away together (on page 10) as the last image. Maybe make it B&W and add a bit of contrast.

That leaves a hole on pg 10, which I think the third pic you posted above fills nicely.

Other than that, I like it. I'd love to see some images of your albums when you get them back.
