I occasionally find great album designs around the web, which are very useful for inspiration. Hopefully this thread can turn into an inspirational thread for those of us that occasionally get a mental block and need some new ideas to keep us fresh!

Please avoid "that's great", "thanks", or "me too" type posts to this thread, let's keep it full of useful resources, tips, and ideas! :) Please post links to any resources, ideas, books, or examples you find you find useful.

Here's a design I found today, the album is a work of art: http://clients.photosforlife.ca/Albums/Christol+Max/ (external link)

Thanks for that Tim ;) Actually I am working on my first album to use as a sample and am sruggling with the layout. I feel like I am pretty creative but this is hard. What I find hard is picking which photo's look good together. What sizes, how many per page, black back ground, etc? I thought I wanted to add words to each page but looking at these books I think no words is classier. I like the white framed photos with black BG on this album. But I also like the look of fitting in full page photo's with smaller photo's placed on top. I wonder if those who are comfortable making albums, setup some shots with the book in mind? I think I will actually be thinking of that at my next wedding. This post is rather rambling and probably not helpful but I am sure I can be more articulate as I work on this stinkin thing some more. It really helps to see examples.

A couple more:
- Rob Driessen (external link) - click galleries, then albums on the right.
Album One (external link) and album two (external link) from Rick Rosen (traditional matted albums).

I'm still looking for more to add, anyone who has good example albums please post them. Again, a reminder to keep this thread on topic so it's a useful resource not a huge thread for people to sift thru, please avoid "thanks", useless replies, and questions.

There are a small select few examples in jorgensen.com.au they have their matted albums but also have the coffee book style albums that are a lot bigger than the photo book layouts. I think they are in the gallery somewhere?
Also momento have a few funky ones in their gallery too. www.momento.com.au (external link)
That first album is nice Tim, i enjoyed the 2nd page, it was kinda funky, i like 14 and 15 page 32 is really special, i like how the photographer has taken note of all the small special thigns and added them in the album as smaller images it really makes it a great layout.

There are nine albums you can look at here too (I got the link from a post by jj1987).

I wish the photographer I work with would get his site up. But, I'm partial to this powers photography, because I'd say you cant tell the difference between us and powers. He charges $1k-$2k more per wedding due to his awsome portfolio and experiance, but has played such a helpful roll as a teacher that the images seem to match, with a few personal touches here and there.

This guy for me is quiet unique, I love his group shot style and the album layout is cool, contemporary and uncluttered.

Until I find a link to a killer design, will offer my idea (external link). It was simple, for a simple wedding, and actually - my first and only album so far. It was well regarded by the party, though.

Below is a sample. Each image represents not a spread but separate odd and even pages. They were designed with orientation to center.
