Yeah, I ordered it tonight from dell, $713 - 100 MIR = $613! :D
(Would have been $584 after rebates, but they charged me $28 tax :( )

They had a good deal going on today that I saw on www.slickdeals.net (external link) . 20% off, then buy a $35 off code from ebay for $1 (you can get them everyday I believe, they only work for 1 day though, so buy one the day you need it)!

Cant wait to get it, I ordered a black one with the kit lens :)
I gave my dad $500, still owe him $113, (he'll get the MIR)...
THANKS DAD!!!

EDIT: Now I just need money for accessories, case, CF card (I have a 512mb), lenses!
Free 3-5 Shipping, so I guess it will be here next week. Just in time for the summer

Where did you find the 20% off coupon? The only 20% Dell coupon I could find on that site was for Finance & Accounting Software.

I received the $35 off code in the mail today, so I'd like to price out some of the lenses on my wish list... if I can also get 20% off. :)

Thanks. It's only good on the Rebel, I was hoping that it would also work on lenses, but no such luck. :(

Enjoy your new toy  ... I have a 350D (=) and I'm very satisfied of it; my only advice: it's small, so you'll get a better grip and balance using the battery grip

Seriously, congrats on the new equipment. We can't wait to see some of your shots.

Congrats, I am soon to get a rebel xt as well, but I found it for 519 - 100 = 419 using froogle.com (geniuscameras.com)...something seems a little fishy.

I'd bet that $519 is the price after rebate, if so then it's really $619. Sometimes they take stuff out of the box, like the battery & charger & then charge you extra for them. One Co. I called wanted to charge me $150 for a battery that should have been included with the camera!

You really should read this review (external link) before ordering from that company.

Aaron, have fun with your camera ---great purchase! Just be aware that from now on, you'll be thinking constantly about what to buy next for it. So, you may want to reconfigure your budget for the future!
