Damn, I had no desire for that lens at all, now after seeing those photos I may have to change my mind.

You should stop down more so you have more depth of field on a photo like that...otherwise nice shots. That lens is my primary. :)

Did you lose Digital Photo Professional (DPP)? Get it here (external link). Cursing at your worse-than-a-map reflector? Check out this vid! (external link)

all the pics are taken with f2.8.... how do I increase the DOF further?

Any f number bigger than 2.8 (f/4, f/5.6, f/8 etc etc). The bigger that number, the more depth of field you'll get.

misunderstood what you are trying to say. Thought that you meant that less DOF will be better :o

personally I chose 2.8 bcos I wanted to have this kinda DOF for the shots. Which pic do u meant that should have more DOF?

In my opinion, all but the last one need more DOF.

I thought that shallow DOF was what you were looking for.

That lens is fast the most used on my 20D. On the EOS 3, it is truly remarkable. Shots are sharp and bright. The only bad thing I've found is the weight. My arms get really tired holding it for 3 hours, especially on a bracket. I guess the main reason why it's a favorite now is the range. I can't say enough about how useful and accurate it is when shooting indoor events. The f2.8 is perfect for my use.

My children and grandchildren are the reason, but it's the passion that drives me to get the perfect image of everything.

Personally I like the shallow DOF in the first 2 shots, it looks a bit different, and really draws your eyes into the sharp water droplets. I particularly liked the 5 droplets all in a line on the first shot. Did you train them to do that?

It gives me a headache. Makes me want to see the whole leaf, not just a part of it.

That's odd, Suzy...the time when I mind the weight the least is on my bracket. Feels like nothing. Then again, it would depend on your type of bracket you use. I use a Custom.
