Thanks Colin,

I always feel that if you can grab 2 or 3 shots that you are happy with from a outing such as this then it was successful. I probably captured a half dozen or so in a day and a half in NYC. Of course I had to fill two 8GB and one 4GB compact flash cards to get this. This one is one of my favorites since it took much effort and planning, and luck to get it. Love the brick.

Thanks again.

I always want C&C on my shots.

A bit of camera shake on this one, but I'm in love with the boxer engine and turbo. "Teaching" him how to drive the stick, but secretly it's an excuse for me to drive his car...hahaha...

So you are purposely doing a bad job of teaching him so you can keep driving his car? :p

Molly and Marissa are good friends, and they wanted some photos with charm and expression of their sprite personality.

shot with 5Dmk II, outdoors was with 15x15 soft box, alzo, 580EXII half power, indoors was with 28x28 soft box, wescott apollo, 580EXII half power.

lens was 24-70. all manual settings..

Thank you for your kind comments.

I LOVE you lighting on shot #1. Somehow you managed to make the subjects really pop while keeping the lighting subtle and natural.

Lighting control is my next adventure, thanks to shots like yours.

I am in love with the lighting in these! Any chance that you have a picture of the softbox setup? I've been using silver bounce Wescott umbrellas with my Sunpak and 580EXII, but the light just seems to not get soft enough. Maybe a shoot through white umbrella or a softbox would do the trick?
