wooohoo i sold my 17-40 and sigma 30 and am going to buy this lens and then next month by a 5dc before i get to shoot rob zombie and korn.

I was trying my RRS BH-55 last night with the 5DMK2 and the brick....here's my failed attempt...too lazy to edit it, straight from the camera converted to jpeg.

I bought my 24-70 used and the zoom ring isnt smooth at all...is this normal with that lens ?

I've heard that about new 24-70 lenses. If you look around at the different online vendors that sell this lens, you'll more than likely find at least one posts that has that complaint.

I don't know if that would signify that anything is wrong with the lens or not. Sorry.

Goat at 1/250 and f/2.8 and ISO 100. No post processing was used here. I love the bokeh this lens produces, and the the DOF, which can be quite thin at times, works well if you want that, too.
