^Nice images on this page everyone. I really need to use my 24-70 more. I don't know why this lens gets such a bad rap from certain users but, it's pretty sharp wide open and even stopped down.

My first copy was "OK" but I didn't know any different at the time, my second copy is fantastic, It's sharp through and through. Honestly if I could only have 1 lens. It would have to be this one. It's so versatile!

same thing with my copy, 1st copy was ok, but i asked for a nice easy exchange for the same lens as i really liked the versatility and it is now up to par from what i get from my 70-200 2.8.

Mine was several years apart between exchanges ;) Happy with the end result though.

I just picked up one the other day. Haven't had the opportunity to shoot yet. I am intimidated with all the great shots everyone has posted here. I hope I have the creative eye as everyone here.

Every now and then I remember just how versatile this lens is. Was on my way home from walking the dogs on the foggy wintry beach and saw this...no macro with me but what the heck....this is about one fifth of the frame....

What exactly is there to hate? There's almost no downside to this lens. Especially with the bodies you have. It was for sure my favorite lens on the 1DmkIII.
