24-70 - I don't think I can ever sell this thing. So sharp. ISO 100 f/8 @24mm for all images.

"IS" version coming soon?

From CR....

24-70 f/2.8L IS
Received my first bit of info about such a lens today. It comes from a Canon employee that advised someone to “wait abit” before buying the existing version of the lens.

This sort of this can happen from time to time.

Wow! I've been busy for a few weeks so haven't had time to look at the latest examples, some really cool stuff here.

Here's one from me taken last week:

Love this shot!

[QUOTE=Racer997;10763015]As found at La Jolla Cove in California.

I had to clean this one up a bit in LightRoom because it has a bit of flare in the middle. Still a bit evident, and too bad, actually.

This lens just keeps amazing me. This shot was a larger horizontal re-cropped to a tight vertical.

Stunning shot Keith! Radial engines are very photogenic, but isn't there something missing? Or did you crop her out? (I haven't looked at the uncropped version yet!!)

Beach scene (without beauties)

Rules of composition did not allow for two really sexy objects in the same frame. Radials rate really high with me. ;)

However... there is this shot of the Snowbirds and a couple of airshow performers that only 5 people have seen. It was shot at the Abbotsford International Airshow many years ago. I think the statute of limitations has run out, so someday it might make it here with some major black stripes overlayed.

I love my 24-70, It's a great workhorse lens. I have started to notice however that the zoom ring is feeling a bit looser than usual? Has anyone else noticed this over time? I mean it still works just fine, but I worry that eventually it will turn into a zoom creep problem while the lens is mounted on my camera.
