I was at a Native Americans of the North West Pow wow yesterday, and the 24-70 on my 1DM3 served me pretty well "fixed" at f/2.8:

Thanks, Mike! Yeah, it was a nice experience!

I managed to finish and post stuff from it -- a fair number of shots came out nicely! Here's the link:

that guy in pic 1D-086 looks like he was deep into the dance; I loved his dress!

I got a chuckle at the anachranism of the gent in full dress, next to the Nikon...:p

Did the audience have a chance to talk with them afterwards? Thats what it looked like in the picture/story you have at pbase.

thanks for sharing it. enjoyable

Picture with a story... We met the person who's riding this bicycle. He will finish his journey as early as 2020! As seen he started out in India and has made his way to The Netherlands about a month ago, this one was taken in Utrecht!

As expected, he's the one seen in the back!

Thanks for you comments!

There was plenty of mingling going on -- it was a pretty free-flowing occasion.

Took some pics recently at the Pima Air and Space Museum in Tucson, AZ. This is not my usual subject, so it was a very new experience for me.
