The lens focuses so damn fast, the images are truly as sharp as can be. The only downside to this lens I can think of right now is well... the weight, having no IS is fine especially since I have a tri-pod and usually don't shoot in low-light.

Shooting it again feels really good...This really is the best walkaround zoom I've used....buttery smooth rings, instant lock, then in PP you see just how sharp and contrasty it is.....I'll never get rid of this one.......So impressed after shooting the 17-55, 24-105, 17-70OS extensively for the last year or so....
