I am looking to take a course or two in the Halifax area. Can anyone recommend anything or even a place to look. I've been looking myself but haven't had much luck.

New Brunswick is not that far away and Freeman Patterson is a world class photographer.

You could also contact the Photographic Guild of Nova Scotia and see what they have to offer.

I have been looking as well and so far the only local one that I have found offered is
at http://www.carsand.com (external link) in Halifax
They offer Photo Semiars as well as Weekend Workshops.
I was ready to sign up but then read where you need a laptop, and with just buying the 20D as well as some filters, Manfrotto tripod, head and computertrekker aw plus backpack my bank account is to lean to fork out for a good laptop at this time.
Hope this is of some help to you.
Lincea

Lincea,

I signed up for June 2nd and 3rd. I think I 'm taking a lower level course than you were looking inot.

Thanks
