i say your off to good start

First dslr with a great lens. I have that set-up and I love it. Keep posting and snap a lot. I've learned so much since I got my 20D.

Edit: Forgot. Welcome to the Forum. It's a great ride, but I've spent more money than I care to tell anyone.

Welcome, Eric. Nice shot, but I'd like the main subject to be more dominant in the scene. In other words, a tighter crop.

Welcome Eric..... looks nice and sharp. Like to let us know the EXIF data on this one?

To tell you the truth I have no clue I was playing with all the setting that day when I was at the Calgary Zoo and I shot over 400 pics of animals, plants and bugs but I like this one the best. I am going to start to writing that info down from now on.

I used my 24-70L lens of course.

Eric - nice picture, I still remember my first shot with the 20D, it was of the 'lens cap'. Darn in all that exitement to use it I forgot to remove the cap.... I have had mine now for 17 months and love it every bit now as I did then.
