:) :) sooooo happy finally got 30d, am thrilled, love it been focussed on it all day while focusing with it am really impressed, some excellent pictures it takes, just have been using automatic settings so far but as summer progresses will now be using aperture and shutter priority and then learn manual, anyone know the reason why that in some low light indoor shots i am getting a veryy dark shot without the flash i am getting this, i know would be a good idea to use the flash, but i thought with the IS on my 17-85 it would be fine, one shot without flash came out really pretty, but the others are very very dark, do you think it is just because the automatic settings are not doing the right focussing, and set too high a shutter speed or two high an fstop, thank you am ecstatic and just thought would report to this amazing forum:D

equipment so far, 30d, EFS 17-85, EF80-200, 75-300, cheap tripod.

I got mine two weeks ago, loving it though definitely some learning curve, esp. post processing. For indoor/people work do yourself a favour and consider a flash, the 430EX makes those pics so much nicer.
