I think you did a good job. Petunias are tough to photograph because of their odd shape. The key I find is getting the center in focus (which you did), and then go from there. There is some distraction in the photo but overall a nice shot.

Nice shot Dan but I agree with pup, it would be great shot if the whole flower was in focus!! Unfortunately you need something like my 45TS-E lens to accomplish this.......take a look at this guys flower shots (www.noriravi.com)....​..they are superb and taken with a TS-E lens which allows for the fast aperture and moving the plane of focus. The colours you got are really nice though!!!

Petunias are hard to shoot but I think this one is very nice! I really love the colors you captured!!!:D :D :D
