What's the best lens i can use for the butterfly conservatory?

16-35L
24-70L
50 1.4 w/kenko's?

Really? I would have thought it to be a closer lens.... How about the 70-300 DO.?

I should note also that it's a class trip w/kids also.

I was thinking that it would be nice to have the reach to tightly frame the butterfly, probably can't get too close and butterflies are not overally large. Never been to a conservatory so I am not sure how close you can get. The 70-300 would be great

I prefer using the Canon Macro 100mm I use the Canon ring flash MR 14 but the popup flash or external flash work great aswell.
