Nice, both, but the second one is a dynomite composition...everythi​ng works well and lines all lead to the main subject..I might have mentioned the large black area to the left as an area to crop, but I thinks it's a nice void drawing in the light from the right side...again,nice work!

Me too ... the was so much backlighting that I couldn't see my right edge (and I was concentrating on the guitar player on the left)

Yes, concentrating often has surprising results! I sometimes only see about 2% of the entire frame because I'm focussed on some little compositional element and then can't figure out how I screwed up the other 98% of the image. The only cure is to shoot, shoot, shoot, shoot!

The first image is DYNOMITE! I like the second image as well, and would agree with Dwight, except for the spotlight making it impossible to see his head anyway, so it doesn't bother me that much. Nice work. :D
