So pleased I found this forum, I am a retoucher by trade and a photographer by vocation. When I buy another camera it will be a Canon. In the meantime I need help with my much loved G2 I just bought a brand new battery (Nuon brand) but even fully charged the camera's behaviour is unpredictable.
I have resolved my LCD issues with info found on this site, but I still have a problem.
The error P6 with an icon for remote control shows when in replay mode. According to Canon I should be able to clear it to default settings by removing the CF card and battery for at least 20 minutes, then replacing them. Then turn on the camera and hold 'MENU for 5 seconds. THe message "Reset settings to default?" should appear on the LCD monitor. It does not. I have tried this several times. I have also removed the coin battery and reset the time and date.
Still no luck.....any suggestions??
