Was down in San Simeon a few weeks ago to check out Hearst Castle. The sun was setting and I was sitting at the hotel so decided to run out to the beach and take some pictures. I needed some shots for my photography class too. I used a 50mm 1.4 with my Rebel XT. I don't really know what I'm doing, I think I just set it on P mode. Heheheh. Any feedback/comments are welcome, I would like to know how I can make these better, either in future shots or by touching it up in photoshop. Or maybe I should put those pretty borders around it like I see around here :) Thanks!

Nice capture on the first one with the guy and the dog, but the sky is washed out, see if you can bring it back some in PS.

Yes, the first one is very nice. Doesn't need any work in PS. The second needs a little work, say darkening the sky just a little.

Thanks for the feedback! Do I use curves to adjust it or use levels?
