just got my 350d!!!!!!

and i have never been happier!!! i have been reading through the instruction manual about all of the different features and hopefully will be posting up some pics i take over the weekend! that is all for now!

congratulations i'm sure you'll have a great time with your new camera... and so the spending begins

good show It's always nice to hear from people with 350d's, you can begin to feel inadequate with all these posh 30, 5 and 1'd owners around :P :P

haha, i have a 350 and the kit lens which is really beginning to do my head in! I'm after the 85mm f1.8 and the 50mm f1.4... then i'll feel more adequate :P

It does seem, though, that everyone around me is buying 30d's and the problem with that is... I love the feel of them! I've started to notice how small the grip is on the 350d, especially since i dont use the strap on it any more as it gets in the way. Still, when I have even more cash from somewhere, the grip will fix that. I do LOVE the thing though...!

Nothing wrong with a 350D. You'd be surprised - the 350D's light weight is actually an asset. I didn't realize how much till I moved up. And I still love mine - it is tremendously capable, delivering all of the essentials that the bigger cameras do.

Plus, the 350D has one of the BEST damped mirrors in the Canon digital EOS range that I have ever handled. If you fear mirror slap, this is the camera for you. With some of the higher performance cameras you can almost feel the recoil

I'm with John here...it's great to see another 350d owner pop up! After reading all of the post concerning 20D's, 30D's, and 5D's and how people are spring for these models, one can start to get a serious inferior complex hanging out here!

I, like most of the other 350D owners, love mine! I just need to get better glass and I'll enjoy it even more. BTW...thank you all for the kind and valuable, with much emphasis on kind, input on this forum. I'm a bit of a lurker but absolutely soak in the information and come here first when I have photography question because I know I'll find the answer or someone will help me. Thumbs up everywhere!

I love mine. It took some practice getting used to it. (I learned on an old school slr Canon ae1) ..so the controls were all different, LOL

I'm working on my lens collection now. My next one will be a macro, but thats some time away.

Hi, i'm new here and I just wanna say that I just purchased my 30D about 4 days ago. It's my first EOS cam and I'm really excited. I'm still having a hard time trying to read the instruction, lol, but I'll get there.

Don't try and figure everyting out at once. Learn a couple of features at a time and learn them well.

I have had my 350d since july last year, im still trying to figure out somethings, LOL .... However it was also my first Dslr... And it has actually changed my life... im pleased to say.
