Hi all...I'm going to a music/club festival today from 4pm to 4am tomorrow morning. i'm gonna be taking photos for the organisers tonight as i have a press pass.
my question is, should i take a tripod, or a monopod?

i'm already thinking of bringing a laptop as i got no portable storage. not sure if there's a place i could leave my stuff....so weight is important.

my monopod is carbon fiber, but i only have a standard velbon tripod (with a carry bag)..

any ideas? i'm probably gonna bring just the kit lens instead of the tamron 28-300 as i like the 18 angle...
oh...and my flash too! of course

Personally I would take both, however space is a problem so take the monopod if your going to be close to the action, take the tripod if you are going to be at the back of the action with your 400! Thats what i would do...

400? i'm gonna have to use, like, 3200 ISO just to make that lens useable tonight! haha.
i'll bring the monopod then! trying to decide whether i can live with the 28-300 for tonight!

I wish I'd seen this before the festival. I was one of the nurses providing medical cover there and you could have stashed your gear with us!

I SO wish I'd taken my camera with me, the potential for some great shots was there.

Can we see some of the pictures please?

BTW I saw three or four photographers there, which one was you?

Alistair
