#1 - best of the shots. Nice "animal in it's environment" shot. You might want to crop the top of the shot off.

#2 - nice group shot. could have reduced DOF for better effect. Also could use flash to get some catch lights in their eye - that would have been a big improvement to a good shot.

#3 - way to many distractions in the photo, not sure what the dubject is

Thanks a lot for taking the time to comment in detail...

For the flash, still something I need to buy (the one I had with my EOS 100 & 500 doesn't work with the XT...)

#3 is quite wide with many things, but I tried to catch one of them jumping.. And I thought it was quite fun to see the meerkats not giving a damn about the lemur jumping overhead ;-)a

For #4, subject was mainly mother and kid, but they were in the middle of all the others...
