Typical Scottish summers day, myself and 8 friends planned this fishing/camping trip weeks ago.

Dimitri I need your weather gods mobile phone number as we were lashed with rain and high winds all night.

The weather was that bad I think I got about 30 mins photography, the strong wind kept blowing rain down the glen almost horizintally, so even when it wasn't raining above us my lenses and filters still got wet. Such a pity as the area around Loch Arkaig is stunning, even in bad weather.

Canon 10-22mm @ 10mm | f14 | 1 sec | ISO200 | 0.6 + 0.9 ND Grad | Circ Polarizer

The weather got so bad that I packed up my fishing gear, most of my camera gear and settled in for the night :D

Canon 50mm 1.8 @ 50mm  | f3.5 | 1/80s | ISO1600 ;)

It wasn't all bad

Thanks for looking :)

hahaha, settled in for the night and the bud right next to you.
It doesn`t sound like it was all that bad at all.
I planned to go up the road yesterday but i prefered to spend some time with the offsprings instead, thank got i changed my mind the last minute, altough my Greek god had told me it was gonna be nice.
I need to have a word with him.
Anyway, the most important thing is...did you enjoy your self?
Beautyfull places up there indeed Scott and the pictures came out nice too.

Thanks Dimitri

We always make the most of our trips up north, whatever the weather, if it takes a few beers to have a right good laugh at how crazy we feel sitting by a loch in the p*ssing rain then so be it

I would love to get up there overnight in nice weather, unfortunately its 135 miles away so not so easy to get too. :(

Thanks John

Although the sun was nowhere to be seen we had the right kind of cloud if you know what I mean  It had detail, wasn't overcast.

It was the rain and wind that scuppered anymore shots :(

Sorry to hear about the weather. So I'm guessing you cut the trip short, then? I'm sure the weather there is BEAUTIFUL today! haha

The weather is much better today, we were coming home anyway, some had left offspring with grandparents and some had to work tomorrow :(
