can the wasia hack be reversed ?

hi all ,
used the wasia hack on my 300d 6 months ago , now i need to send my camera back to canon for repair ( for a second time ) as when i take pics now i only get half a pic the rest is black , tried all settings but still only get half a pic , so i need to change back to original settings , can this be done?

Have you tried loading the last firmware update available for the 300D?

Get the latest firmware from the Canon site, it will over-write the wasia hack. I did it before I sold my 300D.

cheers peeps , all done now , going to ask canon to replace the camera as it has a 2 year warrenty on it and in 12 months it has now broke twice , the first was a shutter problem after only a couple of months and now 12 months down the line it has happened again , i think its a shutter problem again , do you think i have much chance of the replacing it completely for a new camera , its not as if a batter it taking pics , i know i use it a lot but twice in 12 months is a bit much.
