Driving home from a day of fishing, a mother badger and her 2 cubs decided to cross the road in front of us. When we stopped the truck the mother grabbed one of her young by the scruff of the neck and ran him off to the den while the other cub was left to fend for himself. Instead of running off he came right at us, staying somewhat hidden in the tall grass, grunting and trying to make himself look as big as he could. I snapped a few pics but didn't get too close, unfortunately I overexposed a bit but oh well.... live and learn I guess. (Don't shoot in jpeg!!) It was the first time I've seen a whole family of badgers together and it was awesome to see.
