Cat Pictures

I second the request for tips on shooting black cats! my 3 "babies" are all black and so hard for me to capture right, even when they do sit still for pics.

Wow love the clarity of this picture--which lens did you use?

I think I must have re-sized those after I'd sharpened them I'll replace once I remember my web space password. Shot with Canon 100mm Macro. Anyone with tips for black cats I'd love them too. If I ever manage to focus on my black one I miss the lighting and just end up with a black mass with orange eyes.

Usually when I do cat pictures I just leave it on P and don't worry about the settings. Ettl does a pretty good job of exposing for the scene for me

Hi all, this is my first post here I have been interested in photography for awhile but i have finally bit the bullet and bought a camera. There are some amazing photos on here and i find the post processing forum very interesting/helpful. I bought a 350d last week but not had a propper chance to go out and use it due to a nightmare week at work

Hope to post some pics for CC in the future to help me on my way to better foto's

so many cute cats my 4 dont sit still long enough for me to get candid shots and having darker cats they are so hard to bloody shoot because if they are in the yard in the sun they roll around
