Highland cattle in Scottish evening sunlight

About an hour before sunset I saw these Highland cattle near my Perthshire home.

All taken with EOS 350D with EF 70-200 f4 L. Apertures f4 - f5.

nice shots of something i dont see a lot of round here..! i like number 3, looks very sharp and the colours compliment each other nicely.

saw some of that breeed in Devon recently, very cute. Nice series but last one has the subject too central I think, shame as the shadows could have made it the pick. Love the BG in #5

I like number 5 best.

About the last crop, I think it's a bit tight on the top and bottom.
I played around (hope you dont mind) and came up with this:

HTTP response: 404 | MIME changed to 'image/gif' | Byte size: ZERO | PHOTOBUCKET ERROR IMAGE

Just a suggestion.

Great Shots Mike, looks like they were willing to pose for you :lol: .

Where abouts were they, I've seen some at Luncarty and a few on the Dunkeld to Blairgowie road but thats been it....

Oh! My favourite breed of Bovine!! There aren't many farmers of Highland Cattle here in Australia but I plan on getting 2 in the next few years. :)

Love the calf! :)

They were in a field by the Gask Ridge road near Clathy (just west of Perth take the Kinkell Bridge turnoff from the A9). It's a nice spot for sunsets too.

That is much better - you've upped the contrast and saturation a bit as well if I'm not mistaken. I like it! :)
