My 350D has a few bits of dust etc on the sensor, which do not seem to be affecting photos. Is it a problem if I don't get it cleaned for a while? It's damn expensive, and 'DYI' kits arent easy to get here.

I regularly clean the sensor, no need to send it in unless something gets stuck to it. If the sensor gets that hot it is probably not a good sensor any more. "Save the model, Save the camera, The Photographer can be repaired"

It won't be a problem until you need f/11 or f/16, at which time you'll wish you had cleaned it. "If you're not having fun, your pictures will reflect that." - Joe McNally

Just a couple of gentle puffs, and I made absolutely certain it (the aspirator) was dry and clean first (puffed it onto a mirror). Trust me, I'm paranoid EOS 5D
