There was a tutorial somewhere that I first learned how to do it and it was perfect for the minor adjustment. After that you kind of start to play around. I'm sure it's in the RAW, Post Processing area.

It is just a humorus remarks. Like is she is in a movie set giving instructions about a air-strike, except that in my humor. She is going to strike the store, since you bought a toy for you.

mind to share with me how yu did the skin softening, as thats obviously one thing she wqnts me to learn to do

Thanks

Macobee: I could go through many of my personal favorite manual processes for skin softening, but in my honest opinion, the best product on the market to do this automatically is "Portraiture" by Imagenomic: http://www.imagenomic.com/pt.aspx (external link)
You can download a free trial. It's an awesome program.

But if you'd rather do it manually, here's how I do it (in Photoshop), which is NOT a technique that most others use.
First duplicate your background or main image layer.
Use the healing brush or clone tool or both to get rid of most major blemishes and pimples and wrinkles and such on this duplicate layer.
Now change this layer (the duplicate layer) to OVERLAY blending mode.
Now go to FILTER>OTHER>High Pass. Use a radius setting, depending on image size, of about 9.5 pixels or less. This will actually sharpen the image, but don't worry yet.
Now invert the layer, by pressing Ctrl I, or use IMAGE>Adjustments>Invert.
Now you will see a greatly softened image. Lower the opacity of this layer to suit your taste, looking ONLY at the skin. You'll probably want anywhere between 50%-75%, depending on the amount of softening you want.
Now create a layer mask (press the "Add Mask" icon at the bottom of the layers palette), and paint in BLACK on the hair, eyes, mouth, clothing....everywhere you DON'T want softening.
Good luck.
Bob

I think this has the potential to be an incredible image. If I may be so bold as to suggest that you zoom in on the subject (your beautiful wife) and eliminate a great deal of the background. Would love to see this image bringing your wife more into the forefront of the viewer's eye.

Nice job, though!

Well done. Great natural lighting. And a beautiful woman with lots of character.

Thanks for the beautiful wife part, and the tip, I will give it a try tonight and see what I can come up with.
