Today was the first time taking some portraits. A friend of mine let me borrow his studio strobes and stands.

I can see this could be addicting.

So - please CC if you want - I have thick skin and I think she will be willing to try again.

I have looked at a couple of your portraits in a couple of threads. I think that you have a done very nice job. Good focus, beautiful model (wife) and nice tones. I have noticed that you have a tendency to leave a little more head room that is really necessary imho. This may only be personal preference but I think that you could compose or crop a little tighter to the top of your subject's head. But like I said you have done some very nice work here. Enjoy the strobes.
