Hi,
A first time poster here. Found the site by accident, trying to solve a dirty sensor problem on a three month old 350D, hence problem solved! thanks to you all.
I have lost my way over the years concerning photography and purchased the 350 to get the hunger back and after seeing the site, it has truely inspired me to get back in the saddle and go with it.
Was an ex film old boy A1, 620 but sadly they are now museum pieces to look back and :) at, so yet again thanks a million, you were just the tonic I needed!
My eyes are now begining to open!

Out of curiosity, how did you clean your sensor? Did you have to swab it, or were you able to blow the dust off? What products or tools did you use if applicable?

I'm about ready to buy a 350D, so I'm curious about cleaning the sensor. Can anyone comment on the safety and effectiveness of the Copper Hill (external link) method?

Thanks.

After reading the posts, I have ordered a Rocket and when it arrives will attack it with a few short blasts, this will hopefully do the trick. I would have been off to mail my 350 back to Canon for a clean up ££££'s, if I had not read the posts on here, so I have learned something of major use.
I do not think the dust speckles will be a major problem, if so Photoshop will soon put them to task.
About the 350! it's a really nice piece of kit in my opinion and as I said in my first post, I can't wait to get going again, it has been a long time since the creative juices flowed.

Thanks Pete for your warm welcome, hopefully I will be of some use to, some one! Work in prepress of print company, so I may know a trick or two that might work.
It does prove one thing, that Forums work!

Yes, I can. For me it works. I have a 20D but I don't believe there's any difference in Canon sensors so it will probably work for you too. There are other options, but I just chose a sensible one and stick with that.
