Gee thanks mumbles! The next Oceana 'show (external link) is in September (8th -10th). Although it's not clear yet whether the Tomcat will be flying at the show or not....

"2006 marks the last year that this storied Fighter will be in service to her country. The Tomcat Sunset ceremony is scheduled for September 21st, 2006 and will mark the occasion of the final active F-14 being retired. There has been a massive amount of interest concerning the presence of the F-14 at the 2006 NAS Oceana Air Show and this link is intended to provide you with the most up-to-date information as to the possibility that "The Big Fighter" may show her claws one more time.

The VF-31 Tomcatters are the last F-14 Tomcat squadron and will remain an operational Fighter Squadron until the end of September 2006. The Oceana Air Show Team is working diligently to determine what level of participation is possible at the show and whether it will be static display or actually flying. We will endeavor to update this link monthly with the latest information, but please bear in mind that world events can easily change whatever plan is in place, so it’s impossible to make any promises at this point. As always, our fingers are crossed."

There will of course be plenty of F/A-18 action too amongst others!

F-22, as my husband says, is the best plane the US has right now. Not bias at all, Lockheed Martin.

best declassified plane, maybe, it's between that and the JSF. raptor is the better flier, JSF is just more useful though. i've seen some pretty funky airplanes while growing up in new mexico, so i can tell you for certain they have airplanes you've never seen before (when i was about 7, i saw one that was at least the size of a 747, but shaped like a concord, coolest looking thing at the time)

got to say, those are some nice pictures of a great plane

I don't hate macs or OSX, I hate people and statements that portray them as better than anything else. Macs are A solution, not THE solution. Get a good desktop i7 with Windows 7 and come tell me that sucks for photo or video editing.
