thing I like best is you can see the face of everyone. That's overlooked a lot and is the most important thing IMO. All the publications I've shot for don't want anything unless it shows face. everything looks pretty good here, might put a little less crop into #3 so it's not so tight by his glove/foot but thats it.

Nice shots, the pitchers expression in #3 is great. I love when they stick their tongues out, a lot of guys don't even realize that they do it.

Thanks for looking!

Good stuff! I like the close crops and angles you shot from -- all could use a tiny bit of sharpening though. IMO the last shot is your best of the set -- it's a classic pitcher capture.

Jerry ~ Baseball is a game where only defensive players handle the ball and offensive players who hit successfully in only one third of their at bats are among the best in the sport.

Hey Jerry's still alive. Nice shots Palladium and I agree I like the last shot the best. I would like to see a little faster shutter speed especially in the first one.

I love mine too... I've only had it for a couple weeks
but for baseball, I seem to be getting a much a better ratio
of keepers than I did with the 70-200 f/2.8 non IS

Nice action shots. I just purchase a 30D and I'm interested in how you accomplished that sequence shot of the infielder fielding and throwing the ball. Is that something you did with some special photo software, or is that a feature of the camera?

Wow it is great to see Farrell on this site, being a Farrell grad myself. Great photos, I have to look at getting that lens for lacrosse season. Great work

Great shots...300mm looks good from here...

I lived right by St. John's U...worked there once, too.

That was the best field for work outs and track and field too...
