While on a business trip to Southern Alberta (Canada), I took a few hours off and drove around the open prairie looking for wildlife. Caught this wary coyote standing in a field of wild flowers and dandelions - I think he was hunting for gophers.

Thanks for looking. C&C welcome.

Very nice capture. Just curious, do you always bring all your gear when you're on a business trip or just a few selected ones, if so, which one?

Best regards - Reyno

Nice shot.

I take most of my photo gear on my business trips. I try and leave tripods and such at home. I always try to take a couple of hours for myself and usually ask the locals what sites there are to see in the area.

Thats a really beautiful shot. Well done.

The floor of wildflowers just accentuates the picture.

Thanks everyone for your kind comments - much appreciated.

Reyno, while I usually do not take most of my gear on business trips like Spooks, I do always take a camera or two depending where I'm going and how much free time I might have. If I'm pressed for time or can't haul a lot of stuff around, I'll ususally take a fixed lens cam with a wide zoom range such as the Pana FZ30 which sports a Leica 35-420mm zoom lens.

I thought I had a picture of a red wolf in the Smokies--but it looks a lot like your coyote!
